Grow your small business beyond your local market

Every now and then I look back on the early years of my business and think about how different it would have been if I knew then what I know now.   One of the biggest mistakes I made was thinking too small.   I never set my goals high enough in the beginning, so we were growing at a slow pace.   Even if you have a local business, there is no reason why you can’t grow your small business to move beyond your local market (regardless of the industry you are in). 

One of the easiest ways to test market your product or service beyond your local community is by using internet marketing.  You can limit budget, measure and analyze the results, and determine what is working and what is not.  This is how I turned my local business into a national company.
