Manual To Automated: Roles Management

December 28th, 2008 . by admin

In businesses individuals job responsibilities change and along with their job change comes new responsibilities.  A possibility when using roles management is to assign specific access to only specific roles.  In turn the users who hold those specific job responsibilities are assigned these roles.  This should prevent unintentional conflicts, while maintaining the standard user access.  Manually granting access rights by the IT department are susceptible to errors.  In order to remove the human association portion of segregation of duties and sensitive functions, the roles management in an automated design is the best tool.  When this tool is put in place of a large organization, the stages of applications, users and access rights evolve over time.
