The problem is that my parents don’t really want me to have a car. They have told me that if I want one, I have to pay for everything myself. I’m OK paying for gas and oil and repairs, and I know I need to buy license plates. But I’m wondering if I will be able to buy car insurance on my own? Do you have to be eighteen to buy car insurance? Are there any insurance companies that I should consider because of my age?

I foolishly reversed into a fence a few months ago and managed to break my rear number plate and cracked my bumper.  As you are legally obliged to display number plates which are undamaged and easily read, I had to buy some new ones.  I found a site online which makes replacement number plates and filled out their online form to order some new ones.   The whole process was very easy and I had my new plates within a week.  I had to take my car to the garage for the bumper to be replaced, which of course wasn’t cheap, so now I will be more careful when reversing.

I was planning on getting a new car and praying that it would be reliable enough to last a long time. My friend told me;
