Spyware vs Malware

August 4th, 2009 . by admin

So, what is the difference between spyware and malware.  Spware is used to spy on you while you surf the Internet and malware is like a virus that can attack your system, similar to a virus.  It all depends on what type of malware it is.  If you download xoftspyse it will scan your system, much like a virus scan will, but it removes all the stuff that your virus scan misses or does not detect, depending on your virus software plan.  It’s always good to have a program like this so that when you think your computer is acting funny, you can run a spyware program to see if there are any problems.

Learn to Respect Others With Opinions Different from Your Own

June 26th, 2009 . by admin

Anyone who is interested in joining a Tea party discussion forum online should keep in mind the importance of remaining respectful towards others who may have differing opinions. This can sometimes be forgotten in cyber world chatter, as people are more comfortable with typing some things that they would ordinarily restrain themselves from saying in a face to face debate. However, we should always remember to agree to disagree and not resort to foul language. These types of words will cause the message to get lost and both persons are arguing because they are offended, not because they are stressing their belief.

Trying to Find Hurricane Forums

June 17th, 2009 . by admin

I have been working for the same company for over fifteen years and was finally offered a huge promotion.  The only catch was that I would have to relocate to Florida where they were opening a new branch office.  Since I have always dreamed of being a branch manager, I accepted the offer without thinking twice.  Now that I have gotten settled into my new house I have realized that I need to prepare for a hurricane since it will be just a matter of time before one hits.  My neighbor told me to look for information on some of the hurricane forums that are online.  He tells me they are filled with valuable information.

Secured credit cards or debit cards?

April 16th, 2009 . by admin

It is best advised to used debit cards than to use secured credit cards as these things eats your money. Not only do you pay humongous fees just so you can use them, there are also charges when you do not pay on time. Better have a real credit card at least you pay something for a credit, not your own cash. Many people though specially those who have bad credit histories use this as a stepping stone to rebuild their credit. At least it has a purpose but nowadays even some debit cards now have credit reporting bureau facilities so why not switch, ehr?

Stay Away form the Vinefire Scam

April 12th, 2009 . by admin

If you happen to come across a web site that looks sort of like the social bookmarking site Reddit, hit the back button as quickly as humanly possible.  Vinefire is an absolute scam.  They pay you supposedly for signing up, referring friends, clicking, submitting, and rating links on their page.  They claim they will pay in Jan of 2010, but estimates have put their expenses at over $176 million by then on just $400,000 revenue.   The system does not work math wise, and they are clearly just doing this to take in a few hundred thousand dollars from upgrades, and affiliate sales befoe running off eventuall yin January.

Beware Cowboys

March 8th, 2009 . by admin

The changes in legislation whereby an Insolvency Voluntary arrangement was introduced as an alternative to the harshness of bankruptcy has helped many thousands of people in financial difficulties.

However, when taking IVA advice, people will be confronted by firms and individuals who are more interested in making as much for themselves than in helping the person in financial difficulties.

Professional advice should only be sought from a fully qualified Insolvency Service Practioner, or a firm who only refer work to a qualified Insolvency Practioner. There are cowboy firms who will extract large amounty of money, before they refer the matter on. They should be avoided.
