I’ve decided to take up birdwatching. I already have the cool, comfortable clothes and bug repellent, but I’m still looking for the best bird binoculars. I know I should get something light and compact, but the whole business of choosing optics is a little beyond me. I know the ultra-cheap models are a no-no though. From what I gather, the binoculars with higher magnification power weigh more than those with lower magnification. I should try out different binoculars to see which one is the most comfortable for me to use. Other things I need to look out for are an adequate field of view and close focus for finer details.
