What are the Fastest Race Tracks on the Nascar Schedule?

May 9th, 2009 . by admin

When the talk turns to fastest race tracks, it is generally the Talledega Super Speedway that is listed as the fastest of all the tracks.  That is because in 1987 Bill Elliott set a record that has yet to be broken with an all time record breaking 212.809 miles per hour.  Other tracks on the Nascar Schedule also are known as being fast. The Atlanta Motor Speedway comes in second on the list of fastest tracks.  Ryan Newman set the record on Michigan Speedway with 194.232 miles per hour in 2005.  Lowes Motor Speedway comes in fourth place.  Daytona International Spedway gets fifth place in the fastest race track rankings.
